Abstract

  • NTP In April 2011, the provincial NTP (NTPp) was recorded at 98.54 or increased by 0.35 percent compared to the previous month which was 98.19.
  • Of the 5 Provinces in southern Sumatra (Sumbagsel) which compiled the National NTP in April 2011, 4 Provinces experienced an increase in NTP and 1 Province decreased NTP. The highest NTP increase was in South Sumatra Province at 1.72 percent
  •  The Price Index Received by Farmers (IT) in April 2011 was recorded at 115.62 or experiencing an index decline of 0.01 percent from the previous month's recorded value of 115.63.The Paid Price Index of Farmers (IB) in April 2011 reached 117.33 or an index decline of 0.36 percent from the previous month's value of 117.75.
  •  NTP of each subsector recorded for the Rice & Palyja Subsector (NTP-P) of 84.56, Horticulture Subsector (NTP-H) of 93.21, Subsector of Smallholder Plantation (NTP-R) of110.93, for Livestock Sub-sector (NTP-Pt) of 95.26 and Fisheries Sub-sector (NTP-Pi) of91.83.
  •  In April 2011, there was deflation in rural areas in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province of 0.48%. Deflation is caused by the decline in the price index in some groups, among others: foodstuffs; Housing groups; Education, recreation and sports groups; Group transportation and communication.
