MONTHS MONTHS 2009 REACHES US $ 81.29 MILLION


  •      In March 2009 the export value of Bangka Belitung Islands based on Free On Board (FOB) price reached US $ 81.29 million, with tin exports of US $ 70.43 million and non tin of US $ 10.86 million.
  •      In the January-March 2009 period, tin exports to Singapore reached US $ 214.23 million or 90.72 percent of total tin exports, followed by Malaysia US $ 16.22 million (6.87 percent), China US $ 3, 29 million (1.53 percent), the Republic of Korea US $ 1.29 million (0.60 percent) and Japan US $ 1.11 million (0.52 percent).
  •      During the period of January-March 2009, the largest non-tin export commodity of Bangka Belitung Islands was oil or animal / vegetable fats of US $ 15.46 million (38.66 percent); Followed by coffee, tea and spices US $ 4.18 million (10.46 percent); Rubber and rubber goods of US $ 3.25 million (8.13 percent); Metal ores and metal scraps of US $ 2.99 million (7.49); Fishery and processed products US $ 2.10 million (5.24 percent) and salt, sulfur, soil and stones US $ 1.66 million (4.14 percent).
  •      Non-tin exports to Australia in cumulative January-March 2009 reached the largest amount of US $ 10.35 million or contributed the most with 25.89 percent of total non-tin exports followed by Vietnam at US $ 6.77 million (16.92 percent ), India US $ 5.97 million (14.93 percent), China US $ 4.68 million (11.70 percent), Malaysia US $ 4.62 million (11.55 percent), Singapore US $ 2.36 Million (5.90 percent), Netherlands US $ 0.90 million (2.24 percent) and Japan US $ 0.85 million (2.11 percent). The contribution of the eight countries reached 91.25 percent of total non-tin exports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province

  •      During the period of January-March 2009, the import value of Bangka Belitung Islands Province reached US $ 6.06 million or decreased 54.54 percent compared to the same period in 2008 which amounted to US $ 13.34 million. The decline in the value of imports is caused by the decline in imports both oil and gas and non-oil. Oil and gas imports fell 86.97 percent from US $ 4.55 million to US $ 0.59 million, while non-oil and gas imports dropped 37.74 percent from US $ 8.78 million to US $ 5.47 million.
  •      Viewed from the contribution of total non-oil and gas imports from January to March 2009, boiler and machine category (HS 84) contributed the most with US $ 2.18 million (39.84 percent), followed by sea transport (HS 89) of US $ 2.08 million (37.98 percent), iron and steel goods (HS 73) of US $ 0.68 million (12.37 percent), rubber and rubber goods (HS 40) of US $ 0 , 31 million (5.70 percent), ceramic products (HS 69) of US $ 69.84 thousand (1.28 percent), Adhesives, enzymes (HS 35) of US $ 27.81 thousand (0.51 percent) , And electrical machinery / equipment (HS 85) of US $ 15.23 thousand (0.28 percent).   •      In the period from January to March 2009, the five largest suppliers of imported goods were Thailand, China, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam.
