Abstract

In November 2022, the Combined 2 Cities in Bangka Belitung experienced year on year (y-on-y) inflation of 5.45 percent with a CPI of 113.03. The monthly deflation rate or month to month (m-to-m) is 0.11 percent and the calendar year inflation rate or year to date (y-to-d) is 4.18 percent.
  • Inflation y-on-y for the two CPI monitoring cities in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, namely Pangkalpinang was 6.36 percent with a CPI of 112.55 and Tanjungpandan City was 3.87 percent with a CPI of 113.91.
  • This month's y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in the index in almost all expenditure groups, namely; the food, beverage and tobacco group by 3.75 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 1.41 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group of 5.96 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group of 2.65 percent; the health group by 0.85 percent; transportation group by 15.09 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 2.64 percent; the education group by 1.05 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 7.47 percent; as well as the personal care and other services group of 6.38 percent. Meanwhile, the group that experienced a decrease in index was only the information, communication and financial services group by 0.30 percent.
  • The share of y-on-y inflation of the Combined 2 Cities in Bangka Belitung was mainly contributed by the commodities of cooking oil, purebred chicken and selar fish. Meanwhile, the share of m-to-m deflation was mainly due to air transport, mackerel, and raw tofu.
