Abstract

In March 2023, the Combined 2 Cities in Bangka Belitung experienced year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation of 5.00 percent with a CPI of 115.10. The monthly inflation rate or month to month (m-to-m) is 0.42 percent and the calendar year inflation rate or year to date (y-to-d) is also 0.67 percent.
  • Y-on-y inflation in Pangkalpinang City was 4.04 percent and m-to-m inflation was 0.26 percent, with a CPI of 113.49. Y-on-y inflation in Tanjungpandan City was 6.71 percent and m-to-m inflation was 0.70 percent, with a CPI of 118.03.
  • Inflation y-on-y Combined 2 Cities in Bangka Belitung this month occurred due to an increase in index in almost all expenditure groups, namely; the food, beverage and tobacco group by 4.80 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 1.38 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 2.89 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group by 1.85 percent; the health group by 1.37 percent; transportation group by 15.06 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 1.95 percent; the education group by 1.06 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 5.19 percent; as well as the personal care and other services group of 5.25 percent. Meanwhile, the group that experienced a decline in index was only the information, communication and financial services group by 0.70 percent.
  • The share of y-on-y inflation of the Combined 2 Cities in Bangka Belitung was mainly contributed by the commodities of gasoline, air transportation and rice. Meanwhile, the share of m-to-m inflation was mainly due to the commodities of kerisi fish, purebred chicken meat and rice.
