Abstract

In November 2023, the combined 2 cities in Bangka Belitung experienced year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation of 3.87 percent with a CPI of 117.41. The monthly deflation rate or month to month (m-to-m) is 0.04 percent and the calendar year inflation rate or year to date (y-to-d) is 2.69 percent.
  • Y-on-y inflation in Pangkalpinang City was 2.75 percent and m-to-m inflation was 0.05 percent, with a CPI of 115.64. Y-on-y inflation in Tanjungpandan City was 5.89 percent and m-to-m deflation was 0.21 percent, with a CPI of 120.62.
  • Combined y-on-y inflation in 2 cities in Bangka Belitung this month occurred due to an increase in the index in all expenditure groups, namely; food, beverage and tobacco group at 7.25 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.04 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.27 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.34 percent; health group at 9.98 percent; transportation group at 5.55 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.09 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.76 percent; education group by 2.45 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 1.20 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 1.64 percent.
  • The contribution to inflation y-on-y of the Combined 2 Cities in Bangka Belitung was mainly contributed by rice commodities, air transportation, filter clove cigarettes, red chilies and cayenne peppers. Meanwhile, the share of m-to-m deflation was mainly caused by the commodities of purebred chicken meat, round fish, mackerel fish, tuna fish and kerisi fish.
