Abstract

The city of Pangkalpinang in August 2013 experienced inflation of 0.15 percent, having previously in July 2013 experiencing inflation of 3.25 percent.
Inflation in Pangkalpinang City occurred due to an increase in index in six expenditure groups namely; Food, beverage, cigarette and tobacco groups increased by 0.24 percent; Housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.36 percent; Clothing group by 2.91 percent; Health group by 0.02 percent; Education, recreation and sports group by 3.77 percent; And the last group of transport, communications and financial services 6.80 percent. While the foodstuff category experienced an index decline of 3.35 percent
Commodities contributing to inflation include air transport of 0.79 percent; Mackerel fish by 0,18 percent; Electricity rates of 0.11 percent; Academy / college of 0.09 percent; Senior high school by 0.08 percent; Onion by 0.07 percent; Gold jewelry, junior high school, children's school uniforms; And pears of 0.04 percent each.
