Abstract

Pangkalpinang City in February 2013 experienced inflation of 1.19 percent, previously in January 2013 experienced inflation of 1.25 percent.

Inflation in Pangkalpinang City occurred due to an increase in the housing group index by 3.40 percent; Foodstuffs by 0.83 percent; Clothing and transport, communication & financial services group by 0.73 percent; Food, beverage, cigarette & tobacco group by 0.06 percent and health group by 0.02 percent. While the group that experienced a decrease in index of education, recreation & sports group by 0,08 percent.

Commodities contributing to inflation include non-foreman tariff of 0.47 percent; Galangal at 0.32 percent; Household fuel by 0.17 percent; Garlic by 0.14 percent; Onion and electricity rates of 0.10 percent each; Oranges and shellfish of 0.09 percent each; Air freight rates of 0.08 percent and ceramics by 0.05 percent. Conversely, the type of goods / services experiencing deflation of the greatest order is the chicken meat of 0.68 percent; Fish kerisi by 0,06 percent; Fish bloating / bloat and gold jewelry respectively by 0.03 percent; Rice, pomfret fish, hapau fish, mackerel fish / crab each of 0.02 percent and cucumber stake of 0.01 percent.

The inflation rate of Pangkalpinang City in calendar year (January-February) of 2013 is 2.45 percent and the inflation rate "year on year" (February 2013 to February 2012) is 7.34 percent.
