Abstract

The city of Pangkalpinang in March 2013 experienced inflation of 1.70 percent, previously in February 2013 experienced inflation of 1.19 percent.
Inflation in Pangkalpinang City was due to an increase in the index of foodstuffs by 6.72 percent; Finished food, beverage, cigarette & tobacco group by 0,15 percent; Education, recreation & sports group by 0.04 percent and health group by 0.02 percent. While the group that experienced a decrease in index of transportation, communication & financial services by 3.37 percent; Clothing by 0.86 percent and housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel by 0.01 percent.
Commodities contributing to inflation include shallots of 0.79 percent; Garlic by 0.19 percent; Fish kerisi by 0,18 percent; Fish selar by 0,16 percent; Fish bloating / bloating by 0.11 percent; Cucumbers, rice and cayenne pepper respectively by 0.09 percent; Carrots by 0.08 percent and long beans by 0.07 percent. Conversely, the type of goods / services experiencing deflation from the largest order is air freight rate of 0.38 percent; Cooking oil by 0.05 percent; Gold jewelry by 0.04 percent; Potatoes, household fuels, watermelon, red fish, pears, grapes and beef by 0.02 percent each.
The inflation rate of Pangkalpinang City in calendar year (January-March) 2013 is 4.20 percent and inflation rate "year on year" (March 2013 to March 2012) is 8.80 percent.
