Abstract

In April 2016 Pangkalpinang deflation of 0.95 percent in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) amounted to 124.55 after the March 2014 inflation of 0.26 percent with CPI of 125.74.
Deflation occurs due to a decrease in the price indicated by the decline in the index in two groups namely foodstuffs expenditure amounted to 4.48 percent, and housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.35 percent. While other groups experienced inflation ie the processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco 0.12 percent; clothing group of 0.92 percent; the health group at 0.32 percent; education, recreation and sport 0.64 percent; as well as transport, communication and financial services by 1.44 percent.
The inflation rate is the April 2016 calendar year inflation of 0.63 percent and the inflation rate year-on-year (April 2016 to April 2015) by 4.85 percent.
The core component in April 2016 contributed 0.26 percent deflation similarly volatile components deflation of 0.82 percent. While the component whose price is set by the government inflation of 0.13 percent.
