Abstract

In April 2016 the City Tanjungpandan deflation of 0.66 percent in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) amounted to 126.79 after earlier in March 2016 also experienced deflation, amounting to 1.22 percent with CPI of 127.63.
Deflation occurs due to a decrease in the price indicated by the decline in the index in three groups of expenditure that foodstuff by 1.96 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.05 percent; and transportation, communication and financial services by 1.85 percent. While the group experienced an increase in the index are: food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco 0.46 percent; clothing group by 0.19 percent; health group 0.08 per cent; and education, recreation and sport 0.18 percent.
The inflation rate for April 2016 calendar year - 0.90 percent and the inflation rate year-on-year (April 2016 to April 2015) by 2.26 percent.
The core components on the April 2016 inflation contributed 0.05. While volatile components contributed deflation of 0.52 pesen. Similarly, the component whose price is set by the government deflation of 0.19 percent.
