Abstract

In the October 2015 Pangkalpinang a deflation of 0.21 percent in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) amounted to 123.12 after September 2014 experienced inflation of 0.58 percent with CPI of 123.38.
Deflation occurs due to a decrease in the price indicated by the decline in the index in two groups namely foodstuffs expenditure by 2.33 per cent and clothing by 0.11 percent. While the expenditure of inflation is food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.79 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 0.43 percent; health group of 0.19 percent; education, recreation and sport 0.12 percent; as well as transport, communication and financial services 0.93 percent.
The inflation rate in October 2015 calendar year is inflation of 4.11 percent and the inflation rate year-on-year (October 2015 to October 2014) amounted to 7.96 percent.
The core component in October 2015 contributed 0.01 percent deflation similarly volatile components of 0.40 percent. While the component whose price is set by the government for inflation of 0.20 percent.
