Abstract

  • The percentage of poor people in September 2024 was 5.08 percent, an increase of 0.53 percentage points compared to March 2024 and an increase of 0.47 percentage points compared to September 2022.
  • The number of poor people in September 2024 was 78.58 thousand people, an increase of 8.6 thousand people compared to March 2024 and an increase of 8.89 thousand people compared to September 2022.
  • The percentage of poor urban people in September 2024 was 4.09 percent, an increase of 0.7 percentage points compared to March 2024. Meanwhile, the percentage of poor rural people in September 2024 was 6.49 percent, an increase of 0.32 percentage points compared to March 2024.
  • Compared to March 2024, the number of poor urban people in September 2024 increased by 6.7 thousand people (from 30.40 thousand people in March 2024 to 37.09 thousand people in September 2024). Meanwhile, in the same period, the number of poor rural residents increased by 1.9 thousand people (from 39.55 thousand people in March 2024 to 41.49 thousand people in September 2024).
  • The Poverty Line in September 2024 was recorded at IDR917,673/capita/month with a composition of the Food Poverty Line of IDR670,142/capita/month and the Non-Food Poverty Line of IDR247,531/capita/month.
  • In September 2024, on average, poor households in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province had 4.59 household members. Thus, the average Poverty Line per poor household was IDR4,212,119/poor household/month.
