Abstract

The percentage of poor people in March 2023 was 4.52 percent, decreased by 0.09 percentage point from September 2022 but increased by 0.07 percentage point from March 2022.

The number of poor people in March 2023 was 68.69 thousand people, decreased by a thousand people compared to September 2022 but increased by 1.91 thousand people compared to March 2022.

The percentage of the urban poor population in September 2022 was 3.48 percent, increasing to 3.54 percent in March 2023. Meanwhile the percentage of the rural poor population in September 2022 was 6.13 percent, dropping to 5.85 percent in March 2023.

Compared to September 2022, the number of urban poor people in March 2023 increased by 0.9 thousand people (from 30.21 thousand people in September 2022 to 31.09 thousand people in March 2023).

Meanwhile, during the same period, the number of poor people in rural areas decreased by 1.9 thousand people (from 39.48 thousand people in September 2022 to 37.60 thousand people in March 2023). The Poverty Line in March 2023 was recorded at IDR 874,204/capita/month with a composition of the Food Poverty Line of IDR 636,311/capita/month and the Non-Food Poverty Line of IDR 237,893/capita/month.

In March 2023, on average, poor households in the Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province had 5.30 household members.
