Abstract

In July 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province was 0.84 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 103.54. The highest y-on-y inflation in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province occurred in Pangkal Pinang City at 1.40 percent with a CPI of 104.61. Meanwhile, y-on-y deflation only occurred in Tanjung Pandan at 0.22 percent with a CPI of 104.77.
The y-on-y inflation in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group by 1.09 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.67 percent; health group by 3.50 percent; transportation group by 0.44 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 0.10 percent; education group by 1.48 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 1.70 percent; and personal care and other services group by 1.35 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decrease in index or experienced deflation were: housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.30 percent; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 0.21 percent; and information, communication and financial services group by 0.18 percent.
The Bangka Belitung Islands Province experienced month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation of 0.39 percent and year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation of 0.07 percent.

May 2024 Inflation Year on Year (y-on-y) of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province is 1.25 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Pangkal Pinang City at 1.97 percent
