Abstract

In March 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province will be 1.80 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 104.04. The highest y-on-y inflation in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province occurred in Pangkal Pinang City at 2.24 percent with a CPI of 104.46 while the lowest y-on-y inflation occurred in East Belitung Regency at 0.88 percent with a CPI amounting to 103.81.

Y-on-y inflation in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index in several expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 3.96 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.53 percent; health group at 3.85 percent; transportation group at 0.69 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.99 percent; education group of 1.76 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 1.87 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 0.42 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index or experienced deflation were: the housing, water, electricity and household fuel groups at 0.55 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 1.04 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.17 percent.

The Bangka Belitung Islands Province experienced month to month (m-to-m) inflation of 0.04 percent and year to date (y-to-d) inflation of 0.55 percent.

July 2024 Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in Bangka Belitung Islands Province was 0.84 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Pangkal Pinang City at 1.40 percent
