Abstract

  • In May 2024, year on year (y-on-y) Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung inflation rate was 1.25 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 104.27. The highest y-on-y inflation in Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung was seen in Pangkal Pinang City at 1.97 percent with a CPI of 104.70 while the deepest y-on-y deflation was seen in Kabupaten Bangka Barat at 0.09 percent with a CPI of 102.47.
  • Year on Year (y-on-y) Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung inflation occurred as the price went up, as indicated by the increase in almost all expenditure groups indices, namely: Food, Beverage and Tobacco Group of 2.28 percent; Clothing and Footwear group of 0.95 percent; Health Group of 3.99 percent; Transportation Group of 1.18 percent; Recreation, Sports and Culture Group of 0.98 percent; Education Group of 1.52 percent; Food and Beverage Serving Services/Restaurant Group of 1.53 percent; and the Personal Care and Other Services Group of 1.19 percent. On the other hand, y-o-y deflation occurred as indicated by the decrease of indices in Housing, Water, Electricity and Household Fuel Group of 0.57 percent; Furnishings, Household Equipment, and Routine Household Maintenance Group of 0.70 percent; and Information, Communication and Financial Services Group of 0.21 percent.
  • While The Month to Month (m-to-m) Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung inflation rate in May 2024 was 0.32 percent and Year to Date (y-to-d) inflation rate was 0.77 percent.
