Abstract

EXPORT PROVINCE OF BANGKA BELITUNG ISLANDS
MONTH OCTOBER 2010 REACHES US $ 193.8 MILLION

  •     The export value from the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in October 2010 reached US $ 193.8 million (based on Free On Board price, FOB), with tin exports of US $ 167.5 million and non tin of US $ 26.4 million.
  •     Tin as the largest export includes 83.3 percent of the total exports of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province during the period from January to October 2010. The main tin export destination is Singapore which reached US $ 847.5 million or 79.4 percent of total tin exports, followed by Malaysia US $ 42 , 7 million (4.0 percent), Netherlands US $ 40.0 million (3.7 percent), Taiwan US $ 30.5 million (2.9 percent) and Japan US $ 25.7 million (2.4 percent). The contribution of these five countries reached 92.4 percent of the total tin exports of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
  •     The largest non-tin export commodity of Bangka Belitung Islands Province during January-October 2010 period was the oil / animal and vegetable fats amounting to U $ 97.7 million (45.5 percent), followed by rubber and rubber goods of U $ 36.1 million (16.8 percent); Coffee, tea and spices U $ 10.6 million (4.9 percent); Metal ores and metal scraps of US $ 9.9 million (4.6 percent); Fishery products and processed U $ 7.0 million (3.3 per cent) and salt, sulfur, soil and stones US $ 4.1 million (1.9 per cent). The contribution of the six non-tin categories reached 77.1 percent of total non-tin exports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
  •     Non-tin exports during the period of January-October 2010 to China reached the largest number of US $ 77.9 million or contributed the largest of 36.3 percent of total non-tin exports, followed by Vietnam US $ 28.2 million (13.1 percent), Bangladesh US $ 28.2 million (13.1 percent), Malaysia US $ 26.1 million (12.1 percent), India US $ 19.8 million (9.2 percent), Singapore US $ 16.8 million (7.8 percent) , And the Netherlands US $ 4.6 million (2.2 percent). The contribution of the eight countries reached 93.9 percent of the total non-tin exports of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province.

OCTOBER 2010 MONTHS APPLY US $ 7.1 MILLION

  •     The Import Value of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in October 2010 reached US $ 7.1 million, up 97.1 percent compared to September 2010 of US $ 3.6 million.
  •     The cumulative value of imports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province during the period January-October 2010 reached US $ 64.2 million or an increase of 43.5 percent over the same period of the previous year which amounted to US $ 44.7 million. The increase in import value was caused by the increase of non-oil and gas imports by 73.9 percent from US $ 31.4 million to US $ 54.6 million. Conversely oil and gas imports decreased by 27.9 percent from US $ 13.4 million to US $ 9.6 million.
  •     The categories of goods that contributed the most to non-oil and gas imports from January to October 2010 were boiler and machine category (HS 84) with contribution of US $ 26.1 million (47.8 percent), followed by sea transport (HS 89) $ 12.3 million (22.6 percent), machinery / electrical equipment (HS 85) of US $ 4.4 million (8.1 percent), iron and steel goods (HS 73) of US $ 2.2 million (4 , 0 percent), optical devices (HS 90) of US $ 1.9 million (3.5 percent) and fertilizer (HS 31) of US $ 1.3 million (2.4 percent). The contribution of the six categories of non-oil and gas goods reached 88.3 percent of total non-oil and gas imports.
  •     The imports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province from China during the period from January to October 2010 reached the highest figure of US $ 26.0 million or 45.2 percent of total imports, followed by Thailand at US $ 12.9 million (20.0 percent), Singapore US $ 9 , 7 million (15.1 percent), Vietnam amounted to US $ 4.4 million (6.8 percent) and Malaysia amounted to US $ 3.8 million (5.9 percent). The contribution of these five countries reached 93.1 percent of the total imports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
