Abstract

EXPORT PROVINCE OF BANGKA BELITUNG ISLANDS
MONTH NOVEMBER 2010 REACHES US $ 230,5 MILLION

  •     The export value from the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in November 2010 reached US $ 230.5 million (based on Free On Board price, FOB), with tin exports of US $ 191.5 million and non tin amounting to US $ 38.9 million.
  •     Tin as the largest export accounted for 81.7 percent of total exports of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province during the period from January to November 2010. The main tin export destination was Singapore which reached US $ 977.8 million or 77.7 percent of total tin exports followed by Malaysia US $ 52 , 3 million US dollars (4.2 percent), Netherlands US $ 51.7 million (4.1 percent), Japan US $ 38.9 million (3.1 percent) and Taiwan US $ 29.9 million (3.1 percent). The contribution of these five countries reached 92.1 percent of total tin exports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
  •     The largest non-tin export commodity of Bangka Belitung Islands Province during January-November 2010 period was oil and animal fats and fats of U $ 124.4 million (44.2 percent), followed by rubber and rubber goods of U $ 41.8 million (14.9 percent); Coffee, tea and spices U $ 13.5 million (4.8 percent); Metal ores and metal scraps of US $ 9.9 million (3.5 percent); Fishery products and processed U $ 8.0 million (2.8 percent) and salt, sulfur, soil and stones US $ 4.4 million (1.5 percent). The contribution of the six non-tin categories reached 71.8 percent of total non-tin exports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
  •     Non-tin exports during the period of January-November 2010 to China reached the largest amount of US $ 82.6 million or contributed the most 29.4 percent to total non-tin exports, followed by Malaysia US $ 36.3 million (12.9 percent), Japan US $ 30.4 million (10.8 percent), Vietnam US $ 29.1 million (10.3 percent), Singapore US $ 28.5 million (10.1 percent), Bangladesh US $ 28.2 million (10.0 percent) , And India US $ 24.2 million (8.6 percent). The contribution of these seven countries reached 92.2 percent of total non-tin exports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province.

IMPORT PROVINCE BANGKA BELITUNG ISLANDS
MONTH NOVEMBER 2010 REACHES US $ 1.5 MILLION

  •     The Value of Import Province of Bangka Belitung Islands in November 2010 reached US $ 1.5 million or decreased 78.8 percent compared to October 2010 which amounted to US $ 7.1 million.
  •     The cumulative value of imports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province during the period of January-November 2010 reached US $ 65.7 million or an increase of 34.1 percent over the same period of the previous year which amounted to US $ 49.0 million. The increase in import value was caused by the increase of non-oil and gas imports by 64.7 percent from US $ 33.8 million to US $ 55.6 million. Conversely oil and gas imports fell by 33.7 percent from US $ 15.2 million to US $ 10.1 million.
  •     The goods category that gives the largest contribution to total non-oil and gas imports from January to November 2010 is boiler and machine category (HS 84) with contribution of US $ 26.3 million (47.3 percent), followed by sea transport (HS 89) $ 13.0 million (23.3 percent), machinery / electrical equipment (HS 85) of US $ 4.4 million (8.0 percent), iron and steel goods (HS 73) of US $ 2.3 million (4 , 1 percent), optical devices (HS 90) of US $ 1.9 million (3.4 percent) and fertilizer (HS 31) of US $ 1.3 million (2.4 percent). The contribution of these six categories of non-oil and gas goods reached 88.4 percent of total non-oil and gas imports.
  •     The imports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province from China during the period from January to November 2010 reached the largest figure of US $ 29.1 million or 44.2 percent of total imports, followed by Thailand at US $ 13.5 million (20.5 percent), Singapore US $ 10 , 0 million (15.2 percent), Vietnam amounted to US $ 4.8 million (7.3 percent) and Malaysia amounted to US $ 3.9 million (6.0 percent). The contribution of these five countries reached 93.3 percent of the total imports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
