Abstract

EXPORT PROVINCE OF BANGKA BELITUNG ISLANDS
MONTH APRIL 2011 REACHES US $ 306,9 MILLION

  •     The export value from the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in April 2011 reached US $ 306.9 million (based on Free On Board price, FOB), with tin exports of US $ 279.6 million and non tin of US $ 27.3 million.
  •     Tin as the largest export accounted for 79.6 percent of the total exports of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province during the period from January to April 2011. The main tin export destination is Singapore which reached US $ 578.5 million or 69.7 percent of total tin exports, followed by Netherlands US $ 57 , US $ 48.7 million (5.9 percent), Japan US $ 39.0 million (4.7 percent) and Taiwan US $ 30.1 million (3.6 percent). The contribution of the five countries reached 90.8 percent of the total tin exports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
  •     The largest non-tin export commodity of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province during the period of January-April 2011 was a group of animal or vegetable oils and fats of U $ 56.7 million (26.7 percent), followed by rubber and rubber goods of U $ 36.4 million (17.1 percent); Coffee, tea and spices U $ 5.7 million (2.7 percent); Fishery products and processed U $ 2.5 million (1.2 percent); Metal ore and metal scraps of US $ 2.4 million (1.1 percent) and salt, sulfur, soil and stones US $ 1.8 million (0.9 percent).   •     Non-tin goods reached 49.7 percent of total non-tin exports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province.Non-tin exports during the period of January-April 2011 to Australia reached the largest amount of US $ 106.5 million or contributed the most with 50.2 percent of total non-tin exports followed by China US $ 28.9 million (13.6 percent), Malaysia US $ 23.0 million (10.8 percent), Singapore US $ 20.7 million (9.8 percent), Vietnam US $ 12.6 million (5.9 percent), Bangladesh US $ 5.4 million (2.6 percent) And Japan US $ 3.7 million (1.7 percent). The contribution of the seven countries reached 94.6 percent of total non-exports Tin Bangka Belitung Islands Province.


IMPORT PROVINCE BANGKA BELITUNG ISLANDS
MONTH APRIL 2011 REACHES US $ 2.5 MILLION

  •     The Value of Import Province of Bangka Belitung Islands in April 2011 reached US $ 2.5 million or decreased 52.9 percent compared to March 2011 which amounted to US $ 5.4 million.
  •     The cumulative value of imports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province during the period of January-April 2011 reached US $ 11.9 million, down 64.7 percent over the same period of the previous year which amounted to US $ 33.6 million. The decline in import value was caused by the decrease of non-oil and gas imports by 71.4 percent from US $ 30.3 million to US $ 8.7 million, and oil and gas imports by 2.5 percent from US $ 3.3 million to US $ 3.2 million.
  •     The goods category that gives the largest contribution to total non-oil and gas imports from January to April 2011 are marine and floating building (HS 89) with contribution of US $ 4.2 million (48.5 percent), followed by machineries / HS 84) of US $ 3.1 million (35.9 percent), fertilizer (HS 31) of US $ 0.6 million (7.3 percent), rubber and rubber goods (HS 40) of US $ 0.3 Million (3.4 percent), iron and steel goods (HS 73) of US $ 0.2 million (2.5 percent)
  •     And machine / electrical equipment (HS 85) of US $ 0.1 million (1.3 percent). The contribution of the six categories of non-oil goods reached 98.9 percent of total non-oil and gas imports.
  •     The five largest suppliers of imported goods during the period from January to April 2011 are Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and Japan. The imports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province from Thailand during the period of January-April 2011 reached the largest number of US $ 4.1 million or 34.7 percent of total imports, followed by Singapore amounted to US $ 2.5 million (21.4 percent), Malaysia US $ 2 , 3 million (19.7 percent), Vietnam amounted to US $ 1.0 million (8.1 percent) and Japan US $ 0.9 million (7.7 percent).
