A. DEVELOPMENT OF EXPORT

The export value of the province of Bangka Belitung Islands in May 2018 is worth US $ 255.8 million, up 54.57 percent compared to the export value in May 2017.
The value of tin exports rose 90.34 percent, while nontimah fell 36.51 percent (y-on-y).
Compared to the previous month (m-to-m), the value of exports rose by 111.94 percent. Tin exports rose 160.53 percent, while nontimah fell by 12.54 percent.
Singapore absorbs 23.95 percent (US $ 192.2 million) of tin exports, while Bangladesh absorbs 20.21 percent (US $ 32.4 million) of non-commercial exports during January-May 2018.
The value of mineral fuel exports (HS 27) in January-May 2018 amounted to US $ 74 million or 46.25 percent of total exports of the province of Bangka Belitung Province.
B. IMPORT DEVELOPMENT

The import value of Bangka Belitung Islands Province in May 2018 amounted to US $ 56.9 million, up 500.22 percent compared to May 2017. So, imports from January to May 2018 to US $ 99.8 million.
A total of 93.31 percent of imports from January to May 2018 in the form of oil and gas.
Non-oil and gas imports from January to May 2018 were dominated by machineries / aircraft mechanics (HS 84) of 80.14 percent (US $ 5.3 million).
In the first five months of 2018, Malaysia became the main exporter to the Bangka Belitung Islands Province with a value of US $ 91.2 million (91.43 percent).
