Abstract

EXPORT PROVINCE OF BANGKA BELITUNG ISLANDS
MONTH OF DECEMBER 2010 REACHES US $ 186.1 MILLION

  •     The export value from the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in December 2010 reached US $ 186.1 million (based on Free On Board price, FOB), with tin exports of US $ 158.3 million and non tin of US $ 27.7 million.
  •     Tin as the largest export accounted for 80.8 percent of the total exports of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province during the period from January to December 2010. The main tin export destination was Singapore which reached US $ 1,092.9 million or 77.0 percent of total tin exports, followed by the Netherlands US $ 66 , 3 million (4.7 percent), Malaysia US $ 62.8 million (4.4 percent), Taiwan US $ 45.8 million (3.2 percent) and Japan US $ 43.7 million (3.1 percent). The contribution of these five countries reached 92.4 percent of the total tin exports of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
  •     The largest non-tin export commodity of Bangka Belitung Islands Province during the period of January to December 2010 was the oil or animal and vegetable fats amounting to U $ 142.5 million (42.3 percent), followed by rubber and rubber goods U $ 48.3 million (14.3 percent); Coffee, tea and spices U $ 15.3 million (4.5 percent); Metal ores and metal scraps of US $ 9.9 million (2.9 percent); Fishery products and processed U $ 8.7 million (2.68 percent) and salt, sulfur, soil and stones US $ 5.0 million (1.5 percent). The contribution of the six non-tin categories reached 68.1 percent of total non-tin exports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
  •     Non-tin exports during the period of January-December 2010 to China reached the largest number of US $ 88.5 million or contributed the most with 26.2 percent of total non-tin exports followed by Japan US $ 59.2 million (17.5 percent), Malaysia US $ 42.1 million (12.5 percent), Singapore US $ 36.5 million (10.8 percent), Vietnam US $ 29.9 million (8.9 percent), Bangladesh US $ 28.2 million (8.4 percent) , And India US $ 24.4 million (7.2 percent). The contribution of these seven countries reached 91.5 percent of total non-tin exports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province.

IMPORT PROVINCE BANGKA BELITUNG ISLANDS
MONTH OF DECEMBER 2010 APPLIES US $ 9.6 MILLION

  •     The value of imports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province in December 2010 reached US $ 9.6 million, up 534.7 percent compared to November 2010 which amounted to US $ 1.5 million.
  •     The cumulative value of imports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province during the period January-December 2010 reached US $ 73.7 million or an increase of 43.0 percent over the same period the previous year which amounted to US $ 51.5 million. The increase in import value was caused by the increase of non-oil and gas imports by 71.3 percent from US $ 36.3 million to US $ 62.2 million. Conversely oil and gas imports fell by 24.4 percent from US $ 15.2 million to US $ 11.5 million.
  •     The categories of goods that contributed the most to non-oil and gas imports from January to December 2010 were boiler and machine category (HS 84) with contribution of US $ 26.5 million (42.6 percent), followed by sea transport (HS 89) $ 20.4 million (32.7 percent), machinery / electrical equipment (HS 85) of US $ 4.4 million (7.1 percent), iron and steel goods (HS 73) of US $ 2.7 million (4 , 3 percent), optical devices (HS 90) of US $ 1.9 million (3.0 percent) and rubber and rubber goods (HS 40) of US $ 1.4 million (2.2 percent). The contribution of the six categories of non-oil and gas goods reached 92.1 percent of total non-oil and gas imports.
  •     The imports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province from China during the period from January to December 2010 reached the largest figure of US $ 29.1 million or 39.5 percent of total imports, followed by Thailand at US $ 15.9 million (21.6 percent), Singapore US $ 12 , 7 million (17.2 percent), Malaysia amounted to US $ 7.7 million (10.5 percent) and Vietnam amounted to US $ 5.3 million (7.2 percent). The contribution of these five countries reached 96.1 percent of the total imports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
