Abstract

In July 2014 in the city of Pangkalpinang inflation of 1.85 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 113.16 after the previous June 2014 experienced inflation of 0.24 percent to CPI 111.10.
Inflation was attributable to an increase in prices as indicated by the rise in index in seven expenditure groups, namely foodstuff category which experienced inflation of 4.92 percent; Finished food, beverage, cigarette and tobacco 0.50 percent; Housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.98 percent; Clothing group 1.31 percent; Health group 0.01 percent; Education, recreation and sports group 0.20 percent; As well as transportation, communication and financial services group 1.29 percent.
The inflation rate for calendar year (January-July) 2014 is 2.20 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (July 2014 to July 2013) is 2.98 percent.
The core component of July 2014 contributed 0.70 percent inflation and a volatile component of inflation of 0.83 percent. While the component whose price is set by the government contributes to inflation of 0.32 percent.
