Abstract

The city of Tanjungpandan in March 2014 experienced a deflation of 1.03 percent with the Price IndexConsumer (CPI) of 115.43.

Deflation occurs because of the decline in prices indicated by the decline in the group indexExpenditures, namely: foodstuffs 4.65 percent. While the group experienced
An increase in index: the finished food, beverage, cigarette and tobacco category 0.65 percent; group
Housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 0.04 percent; Clothing group 0.15 percent; group
Health 0.06 percent; And the transport, communication and financial services group 2.04 percent. While
Education, recreation, and sports groups did not experience an index or stable change.

March 2014 calendar year inflation rate of 2.98 percent and year-on-year inflation rate (March2014 to March 2013) of 13.24 percent.
