Abstract

In June 2016 Tanjungpandan City experienced inflation of 1.46 percent in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) amounted to 130.32 after earlier in May 2016 which experienced inflation of 1.30 percent with CPI of 128.44.

Inflation occurs because of the increase in the price indicated by the rise in the index in groups, namely expense foodstuffs at 3.56 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 1.39 per cent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.37 percent; clothing by 0.82; health by 0.37; education, recreation and sport 0.09 percent; and transportation, communication and financial services by 0.12 percent.

The inflation rate in June 2016 calendar year amounted to 1.86 percent and the inflation rate year-on-year (June 2016 to June 2015) of 3.50 percent.

The core components in June 2016 contributed inflation of 0.58. Likewise, volatile components of inflation contributed 0.16 pesen; and components that are regulated by government price inflation of 0.72 percent.
