Abstract

A. DEVELOPMENT OF TOURISM

Number of guests staying at the five-star hotel in Bangka Belitung Province in April 2016 there were 26 343 people. This amount is significantly decreased by 0.58 percent compared to the previous month the number of guests which amounted to 26 497 people (Table 1). The decline in the number of guests happen to foreign guests. Foreign guests was down sharply by 536 votes (53.39 percent). While domestic guests rose significantly as many as 382 people (1.50 percent).
The room occupancy rate (TPK) star hotels in Bangka Belitung Islands in April 2016 amounted to 42.07 percent (Table 2), a significant drop of 4.23 points over the value of TPK amounting to 46.30 percent in March 2016.
TPK highest five-star hotel by district / city in April 2016 was in Central Bangka regency (61.86 percent), followed Belitung (44.25 percent) and the City Pangkalpinang (31.81 percent). While TPK Bangka Regency is only 26.05 percent.
In April 2016, the average length of stay of the total at the five-star hotel for 1.77 days, decrease when compared to the previous month. During April, the average length of stay (1.39 days) shorter than the 0.38 days of Indonesian guests (1.77 days).

B. DEVELOPMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

Number of inter-island passenger sea transport departing from Bangka Belitung province in April 2016, there were 7.12 thousand people, an increase of 43.93 percent over March 2016 which reached 4.95 thousand people (Table 5). When compared with the same period in the previous year (Jan-Apr 2015), the number of passengers fell sharply by 49.27 per cent.
The number of inter-island sea transport passengers coming in Bangka Belitung Province in April 2016, there were 8.13 thousand amount is up quite sharply by 40.47 percent over the previous month. When compared to the same period last year (Jan-Apr 2015) the flow of incoming passengers decreased quite sharply by 38.71 per cent.
The volume of goods loaded at the port in April 2016 as much as 430.12 thousand tons, down sharply by 59.53 percent compared to the month of March 2016 were as much as 1062.89 thousand tons.
The volume of goods unloaded during the month of April 2016 as much as 288.46 thousand tons, up significantly by 1.92 percent compared to the previous month to reach 283.03 thousand tons.
Number of air passengers departing from Bangka Belitung in April 2016, there were 112.75 thousand, increased significantly by 1.40 percent compared to the previous month to reach 111.20 thousand.
The number of passengers who come to Bangka Belitung using air transport in April 2016 amounted to 104.04 thousand, down by 10.62 percent compared to the previous month.
