Abstract

A. DEVELOPMENT OF TOURISM

Number of guests staying at the five-star hotel in Bangka Belitung Province in July 2016, there were 27 159 people. This number is up quite sharply by 47.72 per cent compared to the previous month the number of guests that as many as 18 385 people (Table 1). The increase occurred in a number of guests both domestic and foreign guests. Foreign guests rose quite sharply by 171 votes (70.08 percent). While domestic guests rose sharply by 8,603 votes (47.42 percent).
The room occupancy rate (TPK) star hotels in Bangka Belitung Islands in July 2016 amounted to 38.62 percent (Table 2), up significantly from 6.39 points compared to the value of TPK amounting to 32.23 percent in June 2016.
TPK highest five-star hotel by district / city in July 2016 in the District of Belitung (54.02 percent), followed by Central Bangka regency (39.39 percent) and the City Pangkalpinang (32.40 percent). While TPK Bangka Regency is only 21.59 percent.
In July 2016, the average length of stay of the total at the five-star hotel for 1.69 days, decrease when compared to the previous month. During July, the average length of stay (2.22 days) of 0.54 days longer than Indonesian guests (1.68 days).

B. DEVELOPMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

Number of inter-island passenger sea transport departing from Bangka Belitung Province in July 2016, there were 27.14 thousand people, rose sharply by 182.93 percent compared to June 2016, which reached 9.59 thousand people (Table 5). When compared with the same period in the previous year (Jan-July 2015), the number of passengers dropped quite sharply by 27.37 per cent.
The number of inter-island sea transport passengers coming in Bangka Belitung Province in July 2016, there were 27.68 thousand This amount has increased very sharply by 259.16 percent over the previous month. When compared to the same period last year (Jan-July 2015) the flow of incoming passengers decreased quite sharply by 23.71 per cent.
The volume of goods loaded at the port in July 2016 as much as 243.98 thousand tons, down by 39.61 percent compared to the month of June 2016 were as much as 404.03 thousand tons.
The volume of goods unloaded during the month of July 2016 as much as 180.45 thousand tons, down by 15.33 percent compared to the previous month to reach 213.13 thousand tons.
Number of air passengers departing from Bangka Belitung islands in July 2016, there were 148.46 thousand, up significantly by 0.23 percent compared to the previous month to reach 148.11 thousand.
The number of passengers who come to Bangka Belitung using air transport in July 2016 as many as 149.96 thousand, up significantly by 4.84 percent compared to the previous month.
