Abstract

The rice harvest area in 2023 is estimated at 15.41 thousand hectares, an increase of 0.30 thousand hectares or 1.98 percent compared to the rice harvest area in 2022 which amounted to 15.11 thousand hectares.

Rice production in 2023 is estimated at 65.50 thousand tons of MDG, an increase of 4.07 thousand tons of MDG or 6.64 percent compared to rice production in 2022 which amounted to 61.43 thousand tons of MDG.

Rice production in 2023 for food consumption by the population is estimated at around 38.82 thousand tons, an increase of 2.41 thousand tons or 6.63 percent compared to rice production in 2022 which amounted to 36.41 thousand tons.
