Abstract

The economy of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in 2021 as measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices (ADHB) reached Rp. 85.94 trillion and GRDP at constant prices (ADHK) in 2010 reached Rp. 55.36 trillion. Meanwhile, the GRDP per Capita of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in 2021 will reach Rp. 58.34 million.

The economy of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in 2021 grew by 5.05 percent, an increase compared to 2020 which contracted by 2.30 percent. In terms of production, the biggest source of growth comes from the Manufacturing Industry business field. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the largest source of growth came from the component of Foreign Exports.

The economy of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in the fourth quarter of 2021 when compared to the fourth quarter of 2020 (y-on-y) grew by 6.32 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Education Services Business Field, which grew by 29.34 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the highest growth was achieved by the Foreign Export component.

The economy of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in the fourth quarter of 2021 compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q) grew by 2.75 percent. In terms of production, growth occurred in most business fields except for the Manufacturing Industry; Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries; and Health Services and Social Activities. From the expenditure side, the increase in the rate of economic growth was supported by growth in all components of expenditure.

The economy of Sumatra Island in 2021 grew by 3.18 percent, an increase compared to the achievement in 2020 which contracted by 1.20 percent. The total GRDP of ADHB on Sumatra Island in 2021 will reach Rp. 3,679.16 trillion or around 21.70 percent of the total GRDP of 34 provinces in Indonesia. Meanwhile, the total GRDP of ADHK on the island of Sumatra in 2021 will reach Rp.2,375.80 trillion. The GRDP of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province only contributes 2.34 percent to the GRDP of Sumatra Island and 0.51 percent to the total GRDP of 34 provinces in Indonesia.
