Tanjungpandan City Experienced Inflation of 0,28% in February 2021, with CPI of 108,04

Abstract

In February 2021, Tanjungpandan City experienced inflation of 0.28 percent with a CPI of 108.04. Of the 90 CPI cities, 56 experienced inflation and 34 cities experienced deflation.

Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in some of the index for the expenditure group, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.54 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group of 0.51 percent; equipment, tools, and household routine maintenance group by 0.11 percent; the health group of 0.48 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group of 0.23 percent. Some of the other expenditure groups experienced deflation, namely: the transportation group by 0.17 percent and the personal care and other services group by 0.32 percent. Meanwhile, recreational, sports and cultural groups; food and beverage / restaurant supply group; education group; and the clothing and footwear group did not change.
The calendar year inflation rate is 1.31 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (February 2021 against February 2020) is 4.23 percent.
The energy group in February 2021 experienced inflation of 0.72 percent with the CPI of 103.33. Meanwhile, the foodstuff component in February 2021 experienced inflation of 0.55 percent with a CPI of 112.40.
