Abstract

In January 2016 Tanjung Pandan experienced inflation of 1.02 percent in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) amounted to 129.21 after earlier deflation in January 2016, amounting to 0.02 percent with CPI of 127.91.
Inflation occurs because of the increase in the price indicated by the rise in the index in four groups namely foodstuffs expenditure amounted to 4.44 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.39 per cent; clothing group by 0.12 percent; as well as the health group by 0.12 percent. While expenditure group that deflation is the group housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.41 percent and the transport, communications, and financial services by 2.01 percent. Education, recreation, and sport does not change the index.
The inflation rate in February 2016 calendar year by 0.99 percent and the inflation rate year-on-year (February 2016 against those in February 2015) amounted to 2.48 percent.
The core component in February 2016 contributed an inflation of 0.45 percent similarly volatile components contributed inflation of 0.82 percent. While the component whose price is set by the government deflation of 0.25 percent.
