Abstract

A. TOURISM DEVELOPMENT

The number of guests staying at star-rated hotels in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in July 2019 was 37,989 people. This number increased by 9.06 percent compared to the number of guests in the previous month of 34,833 people. The number of domestic guests increased by 9.49 percent and the number of foreign guests decreased by 10.48 percent.

Room Classification Rates (TPK) for star classification hotels in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in July 2019 reached an average of 34.76 percent, up 0.76 points compared to the TPK of June 2019 which was recorded at 34.00 percent.

The highest ROR for star-rated hotels by district / city in July 2019 was in Central Bangka Regency at 57.95 percent, followed by Belitung Island (33.44 percent), Pangkal Pinang City (31.53 percent), and Bangka Regency (18.34 percent ).

In July 2019, the average overall total length of stay of guests at star classification hotels was 1.82 days, a decrease of 0.08 days compared to the previous month. During July 2019, the average length of stay of foreign guests (2.87 days) was 1.07 days longer than Indonesian guests (1.80 days).

B. TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT

The number of inter-island sea transport passengers departing from the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in July 2019 was recorded at 21.31 thousand people, down by 52.17 percent compared to June 2019 which reached 44.55 thousand people. When compared to the same period in the previous year (January-July 2018), the number of departing passengers rose by 39.81 percent.

The number of inter-island sea transport passengers arriving in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in July 2019 was recorded at 22.65 thousand people. The number is down by 47.75 percent compared to the previous month. When compared to the same period last year (January-July 2018), the flow of incoming passengers increased by 23.95 percent.

The volume of goods loaded at the port in July 2019 was 642.02 thousand tons, an increase of 41.10 percent when compared to June 2019 which reached 455.02 thousand tons.

The volume of goods unloaded during July 2019 was 207.84 thousand tons, an increase of 31.51 percent compared to the previous month which reached 158.04 thousand tons.

The number of air transport passengers departing from the Bangka Belitung Islands in July 2019 was 95.45 thousand people, a decrease of 15.95 percent compared to the previous month.

The number of passengers coming to the Bangka Belitung Islands using air transportation in July 2019 was 111.48 thousand people, a decrease of 1.43 percent compared to the previous month.
