Abstract

A. TOURISM DEVELOPMENT

The number of guests staying at star-rated hotels in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in June 2019 was 34,833. This number increased by 44.84 percent compared to the number of guests in the previous month of 24,049 people. The number of foreign guests rose by 101.60 percent and the number of domestic guests rose 43.95 percent.

Room Classification Rates (TPK) for star-class hotels in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in June 2019 reached an average of 34.00 percent, up 11.03 points compared to the ROR for May 2019 which was recorded at 22.98 percent.

The highest ROR for star-rated hotels by district / city in June 2019 was in Central Bangka Regency at 47.08 percent, followed by Kota Pangkalpinang (34.24 percent), Belitung Island (32.68 percent), and Bangka Regency (22.08 percent ).

In June 2019, the average overall total length of stay of guests at star classification hotels was 1.90 days, an increase of 0.13 days compared to the previous month. During June 2019, the average length of stay of foreign guests (2.56 days) was 0.67 days longer than Indonesian guests (1.89 days).

B. TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT

The number of inter-island sea transport passengers departing from the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in June 2019 was 44.55 thousand people, an increase of 74.25 percent compared to May 2019 which reached 25.57 thousand people. When compared with the same period in the previous year (January-June 2018), the number of departing passengers rose by 39.90 percent.

The number of inter-island sea transport passengers arriving in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in June 2019 was recorded at 43.36 thousand people. The number increased by 187.96 percent compared to the previous month. When compared to the same period last year (January-June 2018), the flow of incoming passengers has increased by 33.77 percent.

The volume of goods loaded at the port in June 2019 was 455.02 thousand tons, down by 14.83 percent when compared to May 2019 which reached 534.23 thousand tons.

The volume of goods unloaded during June 2019 was 158.04 thousand tons, down by 19.28 percent compared to the previous month which reached 195.78 thousand tons.

The number of air transport passengers departing from the Bangka Belitung Islands in June 2019 was 113.57 thousand, an increase of 52.58 percent compared to the previous month.

The number of passengers coming to the Bangka Belitung Islands using air transportation in June 2019 was 113.09 thousand people, an increase of 49.47 percent compared to the previous month.
