Abstract

A. DEVELOPMENT OF TOURISM

The number of guests staying at star-rated hotels in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in April 2019 was recorded at 42,803 people. This number increased by 18.90 percent compared to the number of guests in the previous month which were 36,000. The number of foreign guests fell by 10.76 percent, while the number of domestic guests rose 19.59 percent.

The Hotel Occupancy Rate (TPK) star classification in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in April 2019 reached an average of 39.75 percent, up 4.47 points compared to the March 2019 TPK which was recorded at 35.28 percent.

The highest ROR for star-rated hotels according to districts / cities in April 2019 was in Central Bangka Regency by 50.31 percent, followed by Pangkalpinang City (42.82 percent), Districts in Belitung Island (39.17 percent), and Bangka Regency (21, 29 percent).

As of April 2019, the overall total length of stay of guests in a star classification hotel for 1.75 days, decreased 0.1 days compared to the previous month. During April 2019, the average length of stay of foreign guests (2.90 days) was 1.17 days longer than Indonesian guests (1.73 days).

B. DEVELOPMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

The number of inter-island sea transportation passengers departing from the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in April 2019 was recorded at 17.40 thousand people, up by 31.83 percent compared to March 2019 which reached 13.20 thousand people. When compared with the same period in the previous year (January-April 2018), the number of departing passengers rose by 46.63 percent.

The number of inter-island sea transportation passengers arriving in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in April 2019 was recorded at 15.83 thousand people. This number increased by 13.82 percent compared to the previous month. When compared to the same period last year (January-April 2018), the flow of passengers coming increased by 36.87 percent.

The volume of goods loaded at the port in April 2019 was 641.80 thousand tons, down by 3.73 percent compared to March 2019 which reached 666.69 thousand tons.

The volume of goods unloaded during April 2019 was 175.50 thousand tons, down by 23.66 percent compared to the previous month which reached 229.88 thousand tons.

The number of air transport passengers departing from the Bangka Belitung Islands in April 2019 was recorded at 95.16 thousand people, up by 7.14 percent compared to the previous month.

The number of passengers coming to the Bangka Belitung Islands by air transport in April 2019 was 90.20 thousand people, down by 7.86 percent compared to the previous month.
