Abstract

Human development in the Bangka Belitung Islands in 2018 continues to progress marked by an increase in the Human Development Index (HDI) of the Bangka Belitung Islands. In 2018, the HDI of the Bangka Belitung Islands reached 70.67. This figure increased by 0.68 points compared to the previous year which had an HDI value of 69.99.

Human development in the "moderate" Bangka Belitung Islands in 2017 changed status to "high" in 2018 and grew by 0.97 percent.

During the period 2017 to 2018, the components forming the HDI also increased. Newborns have the opportunity to live up to 70.18 years. 7 year olds have the opportunity to attend school for 11.87 years. Meanwhile, the population aged 25 years and above has an average of 7.84 years of education. Adjusted per capita expenditure (constant 2012 prices) for the community has reached Rp 12,666,000, - in 2018, an increase of Rp 600,000 compared to the previous year.
