Economy of the Bangka Belitung Islands Quarter III2018 grew 7.09 percent compared to the third quarter of 2017

Abstract

The economy of the Bangka Belitung Islands quarter III-2018 measured based on Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices (ADHB) reached Rp. 18,664 billion and the 2010 GDP at constant prices (ADHK) reached Rp. 13,385 billion.
Economy of the Bangka Belitung Islands quarter III-2018 compared to quarter III-2017 (y-on-y) grew by 7.09 percent, an increase compared to the growth in quarter II-2018 of 4.50 percent. In terms of production, growth is driven by all business fields except for the Water Procurement business that has contracted. The highest growth was achieved in the field of business administration, defense and compulsory social security of 12.20 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth was achieved by the Foreign Export component of 13.00 percent.
The economy of the Bangka Belitung Islands quarter III-2018 against the previous quarter (q-to-q) grew by 2.37 percent, slowing down compared to quarter II-2018 which was 3.46 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Financial Services business field of 5.64 percent, while in terms of expenditure in the Change in Inventory component was 13.79 percent.
The economy of the Bangka Belitung Islands up to quarter III-2018 (c-to-c) grew 4.72 percent. In terms of production, growth was driven by all business fields except the Mining and Excavation and Procurement business fields which contracted by 2.91 percent and 3.96 percent respectively. While in terms of c-to-c growth expenditure was driven by all components except the Inventory Change which contracted by 7.21 percent.
The total GDP of the ADHB of Sumatra Island in the third quarter of 2018 reached Rp. 835,778 billion or around 21.53 percent of the total GRDP of 34 provinces in Indonesia, while the ADHK GRDP of Sumatra in the quarter III-2018 reached Rp. Sumatra Island's economic growth was 3.18 percent (q-to-q), 4.72 percent (y-on-y) and 4.58 percent (c-to-c). While the Bangka Belitung Islands Province GRDP only contributed 2.23 percent to the Sumatra Island GRDP and 0.48 percent to the total GRDP of 34 provinces in Indonesia.
