INDEX DEVELOPMENT CONSUMER PRICE / INFLATION PANGKALPINANG CITY

• In February 2018 Kota Pangkalpinang experienced deflation
of 0.83 percent with Consumer Price Index (CPI)
amounted to 137.54.
• Deflation occurs due to a decrease in the price
indicated by the decline of some group indices
expenditures, namely: foodstuff group of 2.07
percent; housing, water, electricity and fuel groups
by 0.04 percent; as well as transport, communications,
and financial services by 1.96 percent. While the group
which experienced an increase in index was the food group
so, drinks, cigarettes, and tobacco by 0.15 percent;
clothing group by 0.55 percent; health group
by 0.06 percent; and recreational education groups, and
sports by 0.02 percent.
• February 2018 calendar year inflation rate of 0.43
percent and year-on-year inflation rate (February 2018)
against February 2017) of 2.50 percent.
• The core component in February 2018 suffered a deflation of
0.13 percent; volatile component of deflation by 2.19 percent;
and the government-set deflationary component of 1.35 percent.
• The province of Bangka Belitung Islands in February 2018 is experiencing
deflation of 0.64 percent with CPI of 138.32.
