Abstract

EXPORT PROVINCE OF BANGKA BELITUNG ISLANDS
MONTH OF JULY 2010 ACHIEVED US $ 131,4 MILLION

  •     The export value of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in July 2010 reached US $ 131.4 million (based on the Free On Board price, FOB), with tin exports of US $ 121.0 million and non tin of US $ 10.4 million.

  •     Tin as the largest export accounted for 86.2 percent of the total exports of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province during the period from January to July 2010. The main tin export destination was Singapore which reached US $ 559.0 million or 84.0 percent of total tin exports, followed by Malaysia US $ 24 , US $ 20.5 million (3.1 percent), China US $ 12.6 million (1.9 percent) and Taiwan US $ 12.5 million (1.9 percent). The contribution of these five countries reached 94.5 percent of the total tin export Province of Bangka Belitung Islands.

  •     The largest non-tin export commodity of Bangka Belitung Islands Province during the period of January-July 2010 was the oil or animal and vegetable fats amounting to U $ 59.0 million (55.5 percent), followed by rubber and rubber goods U $ 25.1 million (23.6 percent); Metal ore and metal scraps U $ 7.6 million (7.1 percent); Coffee, tea and spices US $ 5.5 million (5.2 percent); Fishery products and processed U $ 4.9 million (4.6 percent) and salt, sulfur, soil and stones US $ 2.7 million (2.6 percent).

  •     Non-tin exports during the period of January-July 2010 to Vietnam reached the largest number of US $ 24.0 million or contributed the most with 22.5 percent of total non-tin exports followed by China US $ 22.5 million (21.2 percent), Malaysia US $ 18.6 million (17.5 percent), Bangladesh US $ 15.2 million (14.3 percent), India US $ 8.6 million (8.1 percent), Netherlands US $ 3.9 million (3.7 percent) , And Singapore US $ 3.8 million (3.6 percent). The eighth contribution of the country reaches 90.9 percent of total non-tin exports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province.

MONTH OF JULY 2010 ACHIEVED US $ 0.2 MILLION

  •     The Value of Import Province of Bangka Belitung Islands in July 2010 reached US $ 0.2 million or down 98.3 percent compared to June 2010 which amounted to US $ 9.1 million.

  •     The cumulative value of imports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province during the period January-July 2010 reached US $ 45.5 million or an increase of 106.1 percent over the same period of the previous year which amounted to US $ 22.1 million. The increase in import value was caused by the increase of non-oil and gas imports by 162.7 percent from US $ 15.8 million to US $ 41.4 million. Conversely oil and gas imports fell by 35.5 percent from US $ 6.3 million to US $ 4.1 million.

  •     The categories of goods that contributed the most to non-oil and gas imports in January-July 2010 were boiler and machine category (HS 84) with contribution of US $ 21.3 million (51.4 percent), followed by sea transport (HS 89) $ 8.6 million (20.7 percent), electric machines / appliances (HS 85) of US $ 3.7 million (8.9 percent), optical devices (HS 90) of US $ 1.9 million (4.6 percent) , Iron and steel goods (HS 73) of US $ 1.6 million (3.8 percent) and sugar and confectionery (HS 17) of US $ 1.3 million (3.1 percent). The contribution of the six categories of non-oil and gas goods reached 92.4 percent of total non-oil and gas imports.

  •     The imports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province from China during the period from January to July 2010 reached the highest figure of US $ 26.7 million or 58.6 percent of total imports, followed by Thailand at US $ 8.9 million (19.5 percent), Singapore US $ 5 , 9 million (12.9 percent), Vietnam amounted to US $ 1.4 million (3.1 percent) and Malaysia amounted to US $ 0.9 million (2.0 percent). The contribution of these five countries reached 96.2 percent of the total imports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
