Abstract

Pangkalpinang City in April 2013 experienced inflation of 0.66 percent, previously in March 2013 experienced inflation of 1.70 percent.
Inflation in Pangkalpinang City occurred due to an increase in foodstuff index by 0.13 percent; Finished food, beverage, cigarette & tobacco group by 0.29 percent; Housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel group by 0.01 percent; And the transport, communication & financial services group by 5.56 percent. The index-shrinking group was 0.81 percent. While the health group and the education, recreation, & sports groups did not experience any index changes.
Commodities contributing to inflation include air transportation of 0.59 percent; Onion by 0.20 percent; Oranges by 0.16 percent; Apples by 0.09 percent; Shellfish by 0.06 percent; Mackerel fish by 0,05 percent; Cayenne and white cigarettes respectively by 0.04 percent; Coconut and fish each by 0.03 percent. Conversely, the type of goods / services experiencing deflation of the largest order is garlic reaching 0.19 percent; Followed by keris fish of 0.17 percent; Cucumber of 0.11 percent; Eggs by 0.06 percent; Pork and red pepper each by 0.05 percent; Wet shrimp and beef respectively by 0.04 percent; As well as gold jewelry and singkur fish respectively by 0.03 percent.
Inflation rate of Pangkalpinang City in calendar year (January-April) 2013 is 4.88 percent and inflation year year on year "(April 2013 to April 2012) is 7.62 percent.
