EXPORT OF BANGKA BELITUNG ISLANDS
MONTH JANUARY 2010 REACHES US $ 91.15 MILLION


  •      In January 2010 the export value of Bangka Belitung Islands based on Free On Board (FOB) price reached US $ 91.15 million, with tin exports of US $ 86.75 million and non tin of US $ 4.40 million.
  •      In January 2010, tin exports to Singapore reached US $ 73.76 million or 85.03 percent of total tin exports, followed by Netherlands US $ 4.38 million (5.04 percent), China US $ 2.43 million (2.80 percent), Malaysia US $ 2.04 million (2.35 percent) and Hong Kong US $ 1.75 million (2.02 percent). The contribution of the five countries reached 97.24 percent of the total tin exports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
  •      In January 2010, the largest non-tin export commodity of Bangka Belitung Islands was rubber and rubber goods category of U $ 2.79 million (63.51 percent); Followed by coffee, tea and spices U $ 983.20 thousand (22.36 percent); Fishery products and processed U $ 505.98 thousand (11.51 percent); Dregs / leftover food industry US $ 63.90 thousand (1.45 percent) and metal ores and metal scraps U $ 51.25 thousand (1.17 percent).
  •      Non-tin exports to China reached US $ 1.83 million or contributed 41.61 percent to total non-tin exports, followed by Vietnam with US $ 569.36 thousand (12.95 percent), Malaysia US $ 505, 98 thousand (11.51 percent), Canada US $ 503.09 thousand (11.44 percent), South Africa US $ 287.55 thousand (6.54 percent), Netherlands US $ 272.76 thousand (6.20 percent ), Japan US $ 204.99 thousand (4.66 percent) and Germany US $ 167.99 thousand (3.82 percent). The eighth contribution of the country reached 98.73 percent of total non-tin exports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province.

MONTH JANUARY 2010 REACHES US $ 10.66 MILLION


  •      In January 2010 the import value of Bangka Belitung Islands Province reached US $ 10.66 million, up 318.91 percent compared to December 2009 which amounted to US $ 2.54 million. The increase in import value was caused by the increase of non-oil and gas imports by 281.54 percent from US $ 2.54 million to US $ 9.70 million and oil and gas imports of US $ 950.47 thousand compared to the previous month with no realization of oil and gas imports.
  •      In January 2010, the boiler and machine category (HS 84) contributed the most with US $ 4.39 million (45.22 percent), followed by sea transport (HS 89) of US $ 3.11 million (32.10 percent ), Rubber and rubber goods (HS 40) of US $ 544.87 thousand (5.61 percent), iron and steel goods (HS 73) of US $ 488.84 thousand (5.04 percent) , Iron and steel (HS 72) of US $ 319.80 thousand (3.30 percent) and optical devices (HS 90) of US $ 319.32 thousand (3.29 percent). The contribution of the six categories of non-oil and gas goods reached 94.56 percent of total non-oil and gas imports.
  •      In January 2010, the five largest suppliers of imported goods were China, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia and Singapore. Imports of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province from China in January 2010 reached US $ 5.51 million or 51.75 percent of total imports, followed by Thailand of US $ 3.16 million (29.70 percent), Vietnam at US $ 950.47 Thousand (8.92 percent), Australia amounted to US $ 499.07 thousand (4.68 percent) and Singapore amounted to US $ 368.53 thousand (3.46 percent). The contribution of these five countries reached 98.52 percent of the total imports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
