Abstract

EXPORT PROVINCE OF BANGKA BELITUNG ISLANDS
MONTH JANUARY 2011 REACHES US $ 197,2 MILLION

  •     The export value from the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in January 2011 reached US $ 197.2 million (based on Free On Board price, FOB), with tin exports of US $ 170.1 million and non tin of US $ 27.1 million.
  •     Tin as the largest export includes 86.25 percent of the total exports of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in January 2011. The main tin export destination is Singapore which reached US $ 107.3 million or 63.1 percent of total tin exports, followed by Netherlands US $ 20.2 Million (11.9 percent), Japan US $ 10.6 million (6.2 percent), Malaysia US $ 8.9 million (5.2 percent) and Taiwan US $ 5.0 million (3.1 percent). The contribution of these five countries reached 89.4 percent of the total tin exports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
  •     The largest non-tin export commodity of Bangka Belitung Islands Province in January 2011 was a group of animal or vegetable oils and fats of U $ 14.5 million (53.6 percent), followed by rubber and rubber goods U $ 7.6 million (28 , 0 percent); Metal ores and metal scraps of US $ 2.1 million (7.8 percent); Coffee, tea and spices U $ 1.9 million (7.0 per cent) and fishery products and processed U $ 0.6 million (2.3 per cent). The contribution of the five non-tin categories reached 98.6 percent of total non-tin exports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
  •     Non-tin exports in January 2011 to Singapore reached the largest figure of US $ 16.1 million or contributed the most with 59.3 percent of total non-tin exports followed by China US $ 6.9 million (25.5 percent), Japan US $ 2 , 5 million (9.3 percent), India US $ 0.5 million (1.7 percent), Malaysia US $ 0.4 million (1.6 percent), Finland US $ 0.4 million (1.6 percent), and United Arab Emirates US $ 0.2 million (0.6 percent). The contribution of the seven countries reached 99.6 percent of total non-tin exports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province.

IMPORT PROVINCE BANGKA BELITUNG ISLANDS
MONTH JANUARY 2011 REACHES US $ 1.0 MILLION

  •     The import value of Bangka Belitung Islands Province in January 2011 reached US $ 1.0 million (based on Cost Insurance on Freight, CIF) price, with oil and gas imports of US $ 0.5 million and non oil and gas amounting to US $ 0.5 million. In January 2011 the import value of Bangka Belitung Islands Province reached US $ 1.1 million or down 91.4 percent compared to January 2010 which amounted to US $ 11.7 million. The decline in import value was caused by the decrease of oil and gas imports by 76.3 percent from US $ 2.0 million to US $ 0.5 million and non oil and gas imports by 94.5 percent from US $ 9.7 million to US $ 0.5 million.
  •     The categories of goods that contributed the most to total non-oil imports in January 2011 were fertilizer (HS 31) with contribution of US $ 0.2 million (39.0 percent), followed by boiler and machine (HS 84) of US $ 0.2 million ( 32.1 percent), rubber and rubber goods (HS 40) of US $ 0.1 million (16.8 percent), iron and steel goods (HS 73) of US $ 0.1 million (9.5 Percent), manufactured goods (HS 96) of US $ 6.9 thousand (1.3 percent) and plastic and plastic goods (HS 39) of US $ 1.6 thousand (0.3 percent). The contribution of the six categories of non-oil and gas goods reached 99.0 percent of total non-oil and gas imports.
  •     The imports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province from Vietnam during January 2011 reached the largest figure of US $ 0.5 million or 47.2 percent of total imports, followed by Belgium at US $ 0.2 million (20.6 percent), Malaysia amounted to US $ 0.2 Million (15.9 percent), Singapore US $ 0.1 million (9.9 percent) and China US $ 0.1 million (6.5 percent). The contribution of these five countries reached 100 percent of the total imports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
