Abstract

Tanjungpandan city in January 2014 there was inflation of 3.60 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 116.12.

Inflation was attributable to price increases as indicated by the increase in index of all expenditure groups, namely: foodstuffs category 10.63 percent; Finished food, beverages, cigarette and tobacco 0.05 percent; Housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 0.65 percent; Clothing group 3.75 percent; Health group 0.82 percent; Education, recreation and sports group 1.01 percent; And the transportation, communication and financial services group 0.92 percent.

The inflation rate for the calendar year of January 2014 is 3.60 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (January 2014 to January 2013) is 16.22 percent.

Commodity groups contributing to inflation in January 2014, namely: foodstuffs 2.15 percent; Finished food, beverages, cigarette and tobacco 0.01 percent; Housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 0.13 percent; Clothing group 0.75 percent; Health group 0.17 percent, education, recreation and sports group 0.20 percent; And the transportation, communication and financial services group 0.19 percent.
