Abstract

On January 2016 Pangkalpinang City experienced inflation of 0.93 percent in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) amounted to 124.92 after the December 2014 inflation of 1.56 percent with CPI of 123.7.
Inflation occurs because of the increase in the price indicated by the index naikknya in five groups namely foodstuffs spending by 3.46 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.02 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.78 percent; clothing group by 0.46 percent; as well as education, recreation and sports at 0.06 percent. While the expenditure deflation is the transportation, communications, and financial services by 1.26 percent. Health groups do not change the index.
The inflation rate in January 2016 calendar year is inflation of 0.93 percent and the inflation rate year-on-year (January 2016 to January 2015) amounted to 4.64 percent.
The core component in January 2016 contributed an inflation of 0.22 per cent as well as the volatile components of inflation of 0.83 percent. While the component whose price is set by the government deflation of 0.12 percent.
