Abstract

Tanjungpandan in October 2015 experienced a deflation of 1.95 percent in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) amounted to 127.18.
Deflation occurred in October 2015 due to a decrease in the price indicated by the decline in CPI in foodstuffs 6.07 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 0.06 percent; and transportation, communication and financial services 1.11 percent. While the group that experienced an increase in index: food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco at 0.02 percent; clothing group 0.09 percent; health group 0.27 percent; and education, recreation and sport 0.21 percent.
The inflation rate of the calendar year (January-October 2015) by 0.28 per cent and the inflation rate year-on-year (October 2015 to October 2014) amounted to 5.15 percent.
Groups that contributed / deflation in October 2015, namely 1.83 percent foodstuffs; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 0.02 percent; and transportation, communication and financial services 0.13 percent. While the group contributes / contributed to the inflation, namely food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco 0.004 percent; clothing group of 0.01 percent; health group 0.01 percent; and education, recreation and sport 0.01 percent.
