Abstract

General Explanation
  • Consumer Tendency Index (CTI) is an indicator of current economic development generated by the Central Bureau of Statistics Consumer Tendency Survey (STK). ITK is an index measuring the level of consumer perceptions of economic conditions of households in the quarter and a forecast for the coming quarter.
  • Since Quarter I-2015 method of calculating STK experienced improvements in minor scale on the questionnaire and the method of computation. STK sample area coverage, remains held on Belitung, Pangkalpinang City and East Belitung province. On the implementation of the second quarter STK-2015 is the number of samples counted as many as 170 households, with a response rate reached 95.3 percent.

  • Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) Bangka-Belitung in the second quarter 2015 amounted to 97.90, meaning that in the second quarter of 2015 according to consumer perceptions of economic conditions declined compared to Quarter I-2015. Declining economic conditions consumers primarily driven by a decrease in household income (index value of 96.89) and influential inflation to total household consumption (index value of 96.33).

  • ITK value Bangka Belitung in Quarter III-2015 was estimated at 108.91, meaning that according to consumer perceptions of economic conditions expected to improve. This is allegedly due to the influence of the Holy Month of Ramadan and Eid, THR-sharing for workers, rapel disbursement of salary and the 13th salary for civil servants, school holiday moments and preparations for the New School Year students, and has progressed capex, investments and medium-scale infrastructure projects and big government is expected to be a catalyst for the acceleration of development in the midst of an economic slowdown that is still ongoing.
