Abstract

  • Bangka Belitung Islands economy the second quarter of 2015 as measured by Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at current prices (ADHB) reached Rp15.184 billion and GDP at constant prices (ADHK) in 2010 the amount reached Rp11.451 billion.
  • Economic Bangka Belitung second quarter of 2015 compared to the first quarter of 2015 (y-on-y) grew by 3.93 percent experienced a slowdown when compared to the first quarter of 2015 amounted to 4.11 percent. The condition is a condition lowest annual since 2010. Meanwhile, compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q) grew by 2.23 percent. Cumulatively (c-to-c) economic growth reached 4.02 percent.
  • On the production side, the weather conditions are relatively better, accompanied by increased production of fish and palm oil, the realization of personnel expenditure increased significantly, the summer school holidays and celebrations cengbeng encourage the increased rate of growth than the previous quarter. The low price of rubber and Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) of oil palm as a pillar of the local economy after switching from mining and selling price of tin is too low, resulting in a cumulative annual basis and the first half of 2015 the economy is slower compared to the same quarter and semester 2014. On the expenditure side, the moment the school holidays and the preparation for the fasting and Idul Fitri, started the smooth absorption of government budgets, ranging passage of construction and the opening of new land and planting new seeds, increased inventory before the fasting and Eid Fitri, the increase in foreign exports, especially for tin and rubber exports amid the implementation agreement tin led to increased growth rate compared to the previous quarter. Decline in purchasing power and the impact of the global economic downturn led to the annual and cumulative first half of 2015 the economy is slower compared to the same quarter and half of the previous year.
  • Total GDP ADHB Sumatra Island in the second quarter of 2015 to reach Rp642.890 billion or about 22.31 percent of the total GDP 33 provinces in Indonesia, while GDP ADHK Sumatra Island in the second quarter 2015 reached Rp485.165 billion with a growth of 1, 68 percent (q-to-q), 2.85 percent (y-on-y), and 3.20 percent (c-to-c). While GDP Bangka Belitung Islands contributed 2.36 percent to the GDP of Sumatra and 0.53 percent to the total GDP 33 provinces in Indonesia.
