Abstract

  • Tanjungpandan City in May 2015 experienced inflation of 0.85 percent in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) amounted to 125.05.
  • Inflation in May 2015 due to an increase the price indicated by the increase in CPI in foodstuffs 2.13 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco 0.52 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas, and fuel 0.55 percent; clothing group of 0.38 percent; and education, recreation and sport 0.35 percent. Meanwhile, transport, communications, and financial services experienced a 0.22 percent decline in prices. While health groups tend to be stable or unchanged index.
  • The inflation rate of the calendar year (January - May 2015) amounted to -1.40 percent and the inflation rate year-on-year (May 2015 to May 2014) of 8.44 percent.
  • The group that contributes / contribute to inflation in May 2015, which is 0.60 percent foodstuffs; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco 0.10 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas, and fuel 0.13 percent; clothing group of 0.03 percent; and education, recreation and sport 0.02 percent. Meanwhile, transport, communications, and financial services contribute / deflation of 0.03 percent. While health groups do not give a contribution / donation to inflation in May 2015.
