Regional Instructor Training for the 2025 Village Potential Data Update (PODES 2025)

May 14, 2025 | Other Activities

The Regional Instructor (Inda) Training for PODES 2025 was held online over three days, from May 14 to 16, 2025, and was attended by 27 participants from the BPS Provincial Offices of Bangka Belitung Islands and West Sumatra.

The main objective of the 2025 Village Potential Data Collection (PODES) is to produce data that supports regional development planning. It provides information on local potential, availability of infrastructure and facilities, as well as the socio-economic conditions of each village or urban ward.

During the training, regional instructors were equipped with a thorough understanding of the concepts, definitions, and procedures for completing the PODES 2025 questionnaire. Participants were also trained to provide technical assistance to field officers in their respective regions to ensure the quality and consistency of the data collected.

The training included interactive sessions with presentations, discussions, and simulation exercises. It is expected that all participants will play an active role in supporting the successful implementation of PODES 2025. The resulting data will serve as a vital reference for shaping village development policies and strengthening regional capacities in a sustainable manner.
