Following up on the MoU that was agreed upon by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and Bangka Belitung University (UBB) in February 2020, BPS-Bangka Belitung Islands Province Signed Cooperation (PKS) with the UPT Library of Bangka Belitung University (UBB) regarding the Statistical Consultation Corner. This is done in the context of developing the Integrated Statistical Service (PST). The momentum of this cooperation agreement was witnessed by the Deputy Rector III for Planning, Information Systems and Cooperation, Mr. Riwan Kusmiadi, SP, M.Si.
PKS signed by the Head of BPS Prov. Kep. Bangka Belitung, Mrs. Dwi Retno Wilujeng Wahyu Utami, S.Si, M.Si and Head of UBB Library Unit, Mr. Budi Afriansyah, S.Si, M.Si. Taking place at the UBB Library, Balunijuk, on Wednesday (24/3), this collaboration aims to create synergy by bringing services closer, disseminating various data, and increasing data utilization during the COVID-19 period. Thus, the Integrated Statistics Service (PST) BPS can embrace data users in the academic community, especially for students in Kep. Bangka Belitung.
This event was attended directly by the Provincial BPS Function Coordinator and the UPT Libraries' staff while still implementing health protocols. All Heads of Regency / City BPS throughout the Province of Bangka Belitung Islands also attended online.
"UBB has actually been waiting for this for a long time, that BPS can help the campus world more through the available data. The existence of a Statistical Consultation Corner can make the campus world easier. It is hoped that both parties can make the best use of it, "said Vice Rector III Riwan Kusmiadi.
Before signing the PKS, the Head of Provincial BPS Kep. Babel also said that the pandemic conditions did not dampen BPS 'steps to always provide integrated statistical services. Along with technological developments, BPS has made many adjustments to statistical business processes. Among them, training that used to be face-to-face has now become online and BPS is still trying to provide quality statistics.
