Abstract
The availability of timely and accurate agricultural data is the foundation for realizing targeted agricultural policies. Since 2018, BPS has collaborated with the Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (BPPT), supported by the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (Ministry of ATR/BPN), Geospatial Information Agency (BIG), and the National Aeronautics and Space Agency (LAPAN). , seeks to improve the methodology for calculating rice harvested area through the application of objective measurement by utilizing advances in information and communication technology as well as the availability of high resolution satellite imagery. This collaboration is manifested in an activity entitled "Integrated Food Crops Agricultural Statistics Data Collection with Area Sample Framework Method (KSA)" or better known as the KSA Survey. The ASF Survey for rice commodities began to be implemented nationally in 2018. Field observations The KSA survey was conducted on the last 7 (seven) days of each month. Based on the results of the KSA Survey, in 2020, the rice harvested area is estimated at 17.84 thousand hectares or an increase of 753 hectares (4.41 percent) compared to 2019. Meanwhile, rice production in 2020 is estimated at 57.32 thousand tons. MPD. If converted into rice, rice production in 2020 will reach around 33.80 thousand tons, or an increase of 5.02 thousand tons (17.45 percent) compared to rice production in 2019. In addition to producing an estimate of harvested area, the KSA Survey also provides an overview related to other very rice phases, such as the area of the early vegetative, late vegetative, generative, puso phases, as well as the area of rice fields and fields that are not being planted with rice.
