Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is an indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchangeability (terms of trade) of agricultural products for goods and services consumed and for production costs.
NTP for Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province in May 2024 was 128.59 or decreased by 1.43 percent compared to the previous month's NTP. The decline in NTP was due to the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) falling by 1.74 percent while the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) fell lower, namely by 0.32 percent.
Food Crop Subsector NTP (NTP-P) was 101.15; Horticulture Subsector (NTP-H) amounted to 113.49; People's Plantation Plantation Subsector (NTP-R) was 134.07; Livestock Subsector (NTP-T) was 108.61; The Fisheries Subsector (NTP-P) was 107.07 with the Capture Fisheries Group (NTN) at 107.73 and the Aquaculture Group (NTPi) at 87.94.
In May 2024, there was a decrease in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) of 0.39 percent, which was caused by a decrease in the index in 2 expenditure groups. Meanwhile, 7 expenditure groups experienced an increase and 2 other expenditure groups experienced no change in the index.
The Agricultural Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) for Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province in May 2024 was 126.39 or a decrease of 1.66 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP.
